Inventory
Komet Farms provides inventory management functionalities that allow users to easily add and modify inventory items. Its built-in staging area allows post-harvest users to organize and verify product before making it available in the inventory for sales.
- Add inventory to the system by using bar code scanners, manually entering the information, uploading an Excel spreadsheet.
- Manage existing or estimated inventories.
- Adjust inventory according to existing inventory in farm.
- Control product by aging.
- Manage assorted and combo boxes with individual bunches, bunches per unit and cost. Breakdown can be viewed from order entry process during sales.
Order Entry
Komet Farms provides the ability to sell product based on up-to-the minute inventory availability. This feature allows multiple users to simultaneously place orders while at the same time assuring that no product that is unavailable is sold.
- Manage orders: Open market, fixed/standing orders and pre-books.
- Automatically send invoices via email or fax.
- Order entry with detailed information such box type, bunches per box, units per bunch and unit price.
- Ability to view assorted or combo box breakdown.
- Real time access to accounts receivables status from order entry screen.
Shipping
Komet Farms allows users to quickly assign orders for shipping and visualize pending shipments for a specific date. Printing the barcoded shipping labels as well as the Bill of Ladings (BOL's) takes no time at all. The system allows customization of barcode labels as well as BOL's based on individual carrier needs.
Outgoing items can be scanned against BOLs in order to identify incorrect boxes before they are shipped while at the same time allowing you to view which orders were shipped and which were not.

Accounts Receivables
Komet Farms automatically integrates the order entry with accounts receivables. Salespeople have real time access to A/R information from the order entry screen providing valuable information that can be used when negotiating the product sale price. The system also allows receiving payments and managing credit memos.

Administration
Customers: Komet Farms allows users to manage and query in a prompt and effective way customer information such as their address, phone numbers, fax numbers, and contact names, among others.
Products: Allows users to manage their products in accordance to GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) standards ( www.floralgtin.com ).
Reporting
Multiple out-of-the-box, pre-configured reports will allow you to monitor the operations performance. User-friendly filtering options allow even the most basic user to find data quickly and the drill-down capabilities provide access to additional details with a single click of the mouse.

User Roles & Security
Komet Farms is a role-based system that can be accessed by multiple users via the web interface.
The system has been designed in such a way that it accommodates to operating environments that have either a single user or multiple users, and in which each user is responsible for specific tasks such as inventory management, order entry or shipping.
Integration
We're aware that in today's business environment, customers are more demanding than ever. For this reason, we have developed specific interfaces based on XML files that allow the system to integrate with third party applications.
Komet Farms provides an API based on REST (Representational State Transfer). This provides the ability to exchange information with the system via URL requests and HTTP responses. This translates into an advantage in terms of flexibility since users can run custom actions over the system according to their particular needs as well as integrate the Komet Farms system with their own in-house or 3rd party systems.
